Central Park NYC Wedding Suite
•Posted on January 16 2020

This is not your typical wedding. The bride is from Connecticut, the groom from Great Britain, the couple live on the beach in Florida and the wedding is in NYC, oh my! Guests traveling from all over to none other than the big city where the ceremony will take place in Central Park in October. Queue the beautiful autumn leaves draping the classic cityscape in this picturesque ceremonial moment!

To get all the guests from near and far in the spirit of this celebration we opted for a Central Park watercolor illustration. A fall setting paired with a modern and angular font enclosed with a metallic copper envelope sets the tone in this Save the Date.
Following the ceremony the reception takes place at the Time New York for celebrations overlooking Times Square in a chic and sophisticated space. To expand from the Save the Date into a full wedding suite we used the same fonts, watercolor-illustrative style, and metallic envelopes. We transitioned from copper to gold for the envelopes and used a blue watercolor wash to reflect the evening sky. The gold foil on the invitation really translated the luxurious essence we were trying to convey. In keeping with the gold, we used gold twine and a monogram medallion – a custom crest with “J” that was illustrated for the couple and really took the piece to the next level.

The response cards are simple, elegant and clean. Reusing the “J” crest and metallic gold envelope keeps it consistent with the invitation. I love this crisp, clean and modern feel.

To top off the wedding suite the bride opted to do a custom watercolor map of NYC. Here we included extra details for the day as well as some top sites in the city for her guests.
